G-Dragon Introduces “Crayon” + Reveals Countdown Timer For New Album

G-Dragon has released a video introducing another upcoming song, “Crayon”!

“Crayon” is the title track off of G-Dragon’s new solo album, ‘One of a Kind’, and is said to be a song that allows one to enjoy both electro and hip hop genres through its strong sound.

In addition, YG-Life has also revealed a countdown timer for G-Dragon’s comeback on their blog, further raising anticipation for his comeback.

With the release of his new album just around the corner, G-Dragon has released a video introducing his upcoming song “Missing You” featuring Jaurim‘s Kim Yun Ah.

According to information released to us by YG Entertainment, G-Dragon will be releasing a video every day giving us some insight on a new song from his ‘One of a Kind‘ mini album.

“Missing You”, the first track introduced to us is a song with an easy melody that sings of longing for a past lover.

G-Dragon Turns Producer For YG’s New Girl Group

G-Dragon, the leader, singer, rapper and singer-songwriter of boy band Big Bang, is the official producer for YG Entertainment’s new girl group, according to local reports.

“G-Dragon was chosen as the producer for his management agency’s new girl group. It is his first time for him to produce songs other than for himself or his team,” said a media industry insider in an interview with a local daily.

As a leader of a group and a solo artist, the 24-year-old singer has been producing songs in a variety of genres showing us how much natural talent he has.

YG Entertainment has already enjoyed great success with its girl group 2NE1, which has attracted a huge following since its debut in 2009. 2NE1’s songs are produced by Teddy, the main producer of YG Entertainment, and it is believed by the associates that the agency is aiming for a new and different color of music by selecting G-Dragon.

The agency stated that its new girl group is scheduled to debut in October, has done no plastic surgery and has great skills in rapping and stage performances.

And we also know the girl, Jenny Kim, from That XX Video will be in the new girl group.

K-Pop Scandal: G-Dragon ‘Dry Humps’ Dancer On Stage?

Korean pop star G-Dragon (of Big Bang) was accused of “dry humping” a dancer on a stand-up bed during the song “Breathe” at his “Shine A Light” concert.

When the pictures, like the one above, hit the internet, netizens went crazy.

It’s become such an issue that the South Korean government decided to step in and investigate the incident. If GD loses the case, he faces a fine and up to a year in prison.

Fans have started a petition to support the pop star and to show him that we don't care what he did and think he did nothing wrong!

YG Entertainment, G-Dragon’s label, released an apology but other than that, no one involved with the incident has spoken about what happened.

The dancer being “dry humped” on stage by G-Dragon is Aimee Lee Lucas. Even though she's not Korean, Aimee works as a dancer & choreographer for YG Entertainment.

She’s appeared in numerous concerts and videos with artists like TaeYang and Big Bang. Here she is as the lead female dancer in Big Bang’s “Number One” video:

When Aimee performed the “Breathe” number with G-Dragon, it was just another dance and she didn't even think twice about it. She flew back to L.A. the morning after the last concert thinking everything went perfectly and without a hitch. By the time she landed, all of Korea was outraged and talking about the incident that happened.

“I was shocked when I heard what was happening,” Aimee says. “We performed two shows on a Saturday and Sunday. All the VIPs and big people came out on Saturday and no one said anything. During rehearsals, no one told us we were going too far and should hold back. So the reaction was surprising.”

The interesting part is at first all the comments were directed at Aimee. Saying things like "what was she thinking" and "how could she do that"! But once fans found out who she was, an american, all the negative comments stopped.

During the whole controversy, everyone associated with the dance number, from G-Dragon to Mr.YG, has been vilified—except Aimee who is not facing any of the charges, fines or jail time.

“I think it’s because I’m American,” she says. “ I've been told from the start that I’ll be treated differently because I’m American and that’s been the case.”

Lets put this whole "controversy" into context. One must first understand the K-Pop scene. If Big Bang is like the Korean N’Sync with its more innocent and tween friendly music, G-Dragon is its Justin Timberlake—pursuing a solo career to explore more “adult” subject matter.

His first solo album “Heartbreaker” was deemed inappropriate for children because of the lyrical content of several songs like “She’s Gone” (sample offensive lyric: “If I can’t have you, I’ll kill you.”).

The songs are pretty tame by American standards. The content of an American pop song like Justin Timberlake’s “Rock Your Body” is downright pornographic compared to G-Dragon’s music.

If that all happened because of his first solo album, I can only imagine what's going on now because of That XX! I personally think it's awesome he's standing up for freedom of speech. Then again, this is South Korea and they are very different from us.

Big Bang’s G-Dragon to Appear on ‘Infinity Challenge’

Big Bang’s G-Dragon will be returning to MBC’s Infinity Challenge once again.

On September 5th YG Entertainment stated that G-Dragon is going to be on the show. The company is currently figuring out the schedules of the singer and the production staff for the filming.

This will be G Dragon’s third appearance on the show after Big Bang participated in the ‘Gang of Seoul’ special as well as G-Dragon singing I Cheated with Park Myung Soo at the West Coast Highway Festival.

Kim Tae Ho, the main producer for Infinity Challenge is a huge fan of G-Dragon, constantly promoting G-Dragon’s new track One of a Kind on his Twitter.

In other news get hyped for G Dragon's New Album to come out! His new solo album will be revealed on September 18.

More Information on G Dragon's New Album One Of a Kind

VIP's all over the world are waiting for the release of GD's new CD. I personally can't wait!!

G-Dragon’s new single will be called “Crayon.”

G-Dragon’s new mini album, “One of a Kind,” will have seven-tracks including: “Crayon,” “One of a Kind,” “That XX,” and a single entitled “In the End” featuring an as-yet-unnamed member of YG’s new girl group.(Wonder who it is??!) The mini album “One of a Kind” will be released online on September 15 and in stores on September 18.

It’s been three years since G-Dragon’s first solo album, “Heartbreaker,” and fans were left waiting anxiously with little information about his comeback. G-Dragon showed his mastery of the art of teasing by slowly releasing images, teasers, and music videos to whet the fans’ appetite.

G-Dragon released music videos for “That XX,” with YG’s hyped up new girl group member Jennie Kim in the music video, and “One of a Kind” which can be viewed on Soompi. G-Dragon explained that though “That XX” and “One of a Kind” would be on his new album, he would not be promoting them as his new single.
